A key opportunity exists for a Senior Engineering professional to contribute to the Future Energy Systems team. This role is centered around leading-edge projects and initiatives, collaborating with a talented and supportive team at the forefront of the energy industry's transformation.

As a seasoned expert in engineering analysis, you will define technical requirements for distributed energy resources (DER), drive collaboration and stakeholder engagement, and provide strategic advice for an integrated approach.

  • Lead engineering projects addressing power system challenges from increasing DER, including standards, compliance, and evolving behaviors.
  • Drive collaboration and stakeholder engagement, providing strategic advice for an integrated AEMO approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop technical positions and standards.
  • Prepare reports, recommendations, and presentations translating complex technical issues for executives, boards, and external stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and support key initiatives aligned with the Engineering Roadmap to 100% Renewables.

Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Technology, Science, or Maths (with a focus on power systems), or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Proven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary projects in distributed energy.
  • Skilled in preparing, reviewing, and finalising high-quality technical documentation and reports.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and summarise complex data and insights.
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) across diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, outcome-focused, and able to build constructive relationships.
