Job Title: Compliance Manager

The primary objective of this role is to ensure that the organization maintains compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. This involves interpreting and applying legislative requirements, modern awards, and enterprise agreements to guarantee that payroll systems are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure 100% compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and maintain payroll systems and configurations to meet regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance payroll processes and maintain data integrity.
  • Provide authoritative advice and interpretation on legislation, modern awards, and enterprise agreements to ensure compliance and best practice application.
  • Act as a point of contact for workforce compliance-related queries from internal teams and key stakeholders ensuring timely and accurate advisory services in line with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Law, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in payroll compliance, governance, or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of complex modern awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle).
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of national employment laws and industry compliance requirements.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex compliance challenges.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
