Vice President, Development

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to lead our development efforts and help us achieve our goals of growing our private sector funding and elevating our organization's presence and brand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fund Development Leadership: Direct the strategic planning and implementation of fund development activities for major service areas and administrative projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with senior leadership on developing and stewarding relationships with key audiences, including individual donors, foundations, corporations, community leaders, partnering organizations, and ecumenical partners.
  • Major Donor Engagement: Serve as a primary contact for building and cultivating relationships with major funders and corporate partners.
  • Capital Campaigns: Plan and execute capital campaigns in coordination with executive and Board leadership, special committees, consultants, and development and communications staff.
  • Brand Management: Strengthen our ability to elevate our presence in the community by providing resources, knowledge, and expertise to enhance communications, public relations, and brand management activities.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree; Master's preferred in a related field. They have at least 7 years of experience in non-profit development and public relations, including supervisory/management experience. Fund-raising experience in annual campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants is essential. Fund raising certification (CFRE) is preferred.

The ideal candidate is a confident spokesperson with excellent written and oral communications skills, experience in community engagement, and the ability to lead and develop a team to advance our mission and values.
