We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Lines Manager to join our team at American International Group (AIG). As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for identifying and underwriting profitable accounts within underwriting limits, maintaining and growing relationships with brokers, and managing assigned accounts to ensure efficient document workflow.
Key Responsibilities- Underwrite business within underwriting authority through a rigorous risk assessment process, considering loss control, claims history, and other risk management factors.
- Ensure adherence to all underwriting guidelines and referrals, providing accurate reports as required.
- Develop and maintain strong personal and professional relationships with clients and brokers, proactively engaging with internal stakeholders for technical or marketing support.
- Lead strategic initiatives to achieve efficiency in processes, create a target operating model, and optimize resources and revenue generation.
- Audit and Compliance - ensure adherence to audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Graduate level degree in business, economics, insurance, or marketing.
- Insurance qualification FAIS compliant.
- Minimum years' experience in the business.
- Industry attachments will be considered favorably.
- Insurance industry knowledge, regulations & codes.
