Lead Laser Researcher in Quantum Sensing

This is a leading role for advancing next-generation laser systems for cutting-edge mobile quantum sensors.
The main objectives of this position are to design, develop, and optimize state-of-the-art laser systems that can be integrated into highly agile and robust quantum sensing hardware.
The key responsibilities include collaborating with the broader Quantum Sensing division, leveraging expertise from quantum control engineers, and interacting with hardware partners for integration and data fusion.
- Develop innovative laser designs that enhance miniaturization and field deployment capabilities.
- Work closely with experts in quantum control and hardware development to ensure seamless integration and operation.
- Design and analyze device prototypes, operational mechanisms, and control solutions for enhanced quantum sensor performance.
- Improve sensor reliability and precision by creating advanced laser systems that can operate effectively in diverse environments.
Applicants should have a strong background in Physics or a related discipline, experience with fibre and free-space laser systems, and knowledge of atom optics, atomic interferometry, or cold atom systems.
