Job Overview

As a Site Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of commercial landscape projects. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring efficient site operations, upholding quality and safety standards.
  • Motivating and guiding a team of dedicated professionals to achieve project goals.
  • Allocating tasks, managing time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Providing training and supervision to staff on site.
  • Participating in site activities, demonstrating a thorough understanding of Occupational Health and Safety practices.
  • Representing the organization professionally when interacting with clients and the public.
  • Overseeing on-site operations to deliver high-quality results.
  • Leading site meetings, inductions, and ensuring accurate site documentation and communication.
  • Initiating actions to drive project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assisting in project scheduling and maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the on-site team, delegating tasks efficiently.
  • Ordering necessary materials and coordinating with subcontractors.
  • Exhibiting true leadership by motivating and developing staff.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment through regular toolbox meetings and promoting a culture of safety.
  • Developing relationships with suppliers and subcontractors, while staying informed about materials used.
  • Identifying opportunities for growth and contributing positively to the organization's development.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Submit a weekly plan by 9:00 am every Thursday.
  • Attend weekly site leader meetings via Teams or in-person at 9:00 am every Thursday afternoon.
  • Provide weekly submissions of prestart checks, SWMS, and other site documentation to the office.
  • Submit daily site diary entries in Procore, including site photos, man hours, toolbox, and morning brief notes, and brief descriptions of completed work by 4:00 pm every day.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and program constraints set by management.
  • Minimize preventable lost time incidents to one hour per week.
  • Be willing to meet client expectations and project completion dates, which may involve some overtime or weekend work.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential, along with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Experience in a similar role or relevant industry is highly desirable.
