Tyre Fitter Job

As a tyre fitter, you will be responsible for the removal, fitting, and repair of tyres, rims, and wheel assemblies on heavy mining equipment. This includes conducting regular tyre inflation checks, adjusting pressures, and reporting to the relevant supervisor.

You will also source technical information from manuals, bulletins, and computer systems to ensure that equipment is operated efficiently and safely. Additionally, you will take proactive measures to prevent equipment non-conformance and address any quality issues that arise.

This role requires strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be willing to perform intensive manual labour outside in all weather conditions.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Service Technology or a related qualification.
  • They will also have at least 2 years' experience as a tyre fitter, preferably in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industry.
  • A HR driver's license and Coal Board Medical are highly desirable.
  • Standard 11 certification is also essential.
