About the Role

We are seeking skilled Diesel Fitters to join our maintenance crews at a coal mine in Queensland. As part of this role, you will be responsible for rebuilding, servicing and diagnosing heavy mobile equipment, primarily CAT machinery.

  • Disassembling/Assembling Cat machinery such as Graders, Dozers, Medium Vehicles and Pumps
  • Servicing and diagnosing Cat machinery such as Graders, Dozers, Medium Vehicles and Pumps
  • Proven experience fault finding and maintaining Diesel & Hydraulic Systems
  • Experience and product knowledge in Caterpillar heavy mobile mining equipment is preferred
  • Creating a safe learning environment and a commitment to safety training and technical growth

About You
  • A relevant Diesel fitting trade qualification
  • A proven commitment to safety
  • The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
  • Previous experience with CAT machinery and diagnostic systems is desirable
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure, demonstrating high levels of initiative
  • Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment
  • Forklift and dogging tickets are preferred but not essential
