Strengthen the Pacific Aviation Sector as an Advisor As a key member of our aviation team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the Pacific region's aviation sector. Your primary objective will be to improve governance, regulations, policies, and plans that support economic growth.The program aims to boost aviation safety outcomes, increase cooperation and coordination among aviation actors, and ultimately drive economic growth in the Pacific region.Your responsibilities will include providing advisory services to the P4A program, working collaboratively with relevant Ministries, regulators, airport authorities, and airlines across the region to achieve program outcomes and quality decision-making frameworks for the national aviation sector.You will also be responsible for building partner capacity, reporting on bilateral policy support provided to DFAT, providing briefings to DFAT and/or P4A Team as required, identifying coordination opportunities between donors, and other relevant actors in the sector.In addition, you will consider opportunities for improved outcomes in cross-cutting themes of gender equality, disability inclusion, and the environment, as well as principles of sustainability and resilience for the aviation sector.This is a five-year Australian Government initiative implemented by international partners, requiring experts in areas such as aviation sector policy development, aviation safety, audits, and compliance, airport planning, management or operations, airline operations and management, and civil aviation regulatory expertise.
