Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HSSE Senior Associate to join our team in Brisbane, with the opportunity to progress to a HSSE Manager role in the future. As a key member of our Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) team, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent application of our management system across Australian operations.

About the Roles

HSSE Senior Associate: Reporting to the HSSE Manager, you will conduct regular site inspections and audits of renewable energy projects under construction and in operation. You will support the Manager with corporate reporting, budgeting, risk management, training, auditing, and ensure compliance with all related HSSE requirements.

To be considered, you will need at least 3 years of experience in occupational or workplace health and safety, ideally within the Energy generation, Infrastructure or Construction industries. Environmental experience and knowledge within the construction industry are also essential. A comprehensive understanding of WHS legislation and standards is required, with knowledge of environmental legislation desirable.

HSSE Manager: As a key driver in upholding commitment to excellence in HSSE standards, you will manage and coordinate health, safety, security, and environmental initiatives throughout Australian operations. This includes managing safety protocols, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role has one direct report and requires travel to construction and operational sites.

To be considered, you will need around 10 years of experience in occupational workplace health and safety, with proven experience in HSSE management preferably within the Renewable Energy, construction, or a related industry. You must have in-depth knowledge of relevant HSSE legislation, regulations, standards, and best practices in Australia. Experience conducting HSSE audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments is also essential.
