About the Role

Karingal is seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team as a Physical Health Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to develop individualized exercise programs
  • Monitor client progress and make adjustments to programs as needed
  • Provide high-quality practice to ensure optimal person-centered outcomes
  • Work with individuals on a one-to-one basis and in groups to support those experiencing physical health and/or wellbeing concerns
  • Conduct a range of assessments including functional capacity evaluation, musculoskeletal and fitness, worksite and ergonomic
  • Prescribe clinical exercise with a focus on work conditioning and strengthening modelled on client-focused short-term interventions
  • Deliver psycho-educational, work conditioning, manual handling, chronic pain management and strengthening group-based programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or equivalent with a masters/graduate diploma in Exercise Physiology
  • Accredited Exercise Physiologist registered with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply evidence-based and best practice therapeutic approaches
  • Exceptional organisational abilities to facilitate the prioritisation and effective management of key duties
