We are seeking a dedicated caregiver to provide support and companionship to individuals living in a residential community.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with aged people, preferably those living with dementia, and possess excellent interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with residents.

As a caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity, and providing emotional support and companionship.

You will work collaboratively with the Health and Wellness Team and Dementia Support Consultant to ensure high-quality care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Support residents with meal preparation, cooking, and household chores.

Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.

Collaborate with the Health and Wellness Team and Dementia Support Consultant to ensure high-quality care and support.

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and management.

Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Contribute to a safe and respectful work environment that promotes the well-being of all staff and residents.

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support/Aged Care/Community Services or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with aged people, preferably those living with dementia.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to self-manage your day and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn about dementia and its impacts.
