About the Role

Australian Unity is seeking a skilled and compassionate Caregiver Support Specialist to join our Home Health program. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality support services to our aged care customers, enabling them to live independently and safely in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist customers with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, toileting, showering, dressing, and mealtime support.
  • Home Support: Provide assistance with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and assisted dressing.
  • Transportation: Safely transport customers to appointments, shopping, and social outings.
  • Client Relationships: Build strong relationships with customers and their families, conducting regular observations and providing ongoing support and training.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Adhere to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of customers and staff.
Requirements
  • A current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle.
  • Flexibility and availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19, with a minimum of two doses.
  • Alignment with Australian Unity's values of Warm, Bold, and Honest.
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in delivering personal care and/or a Certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Proficiency in an additional language is valued but not mandatory.
What We Offer
  • Permanent part-time or casual contracts available, depending on your location and availability.
  • A competitive hourly rate of $32.56, plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • A travel allowance of $0.92 per kilometer, plus paid travel time.
