About the Role

The newly appointed Strategic Growth Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying and driving growth within emerging and breakthrough markets, both locally and internationally, to support the continued success and expansion of the organisation.

In collaboration with the Executive Leadership team, you will take charge of pinpointing new opportunities, crafting effective strategies, and forging strong relationships in targeted markets. Your role will involve in-depth market analysis, strategic planning, and proactive engagement to help the organisation meet growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct targeted market research across the Australian aged care, disability, and health sectors to uncover and maximise opportunities for growth.
  • Drive growth by identifying 'emerging and breakthrough' customers and markets that may include retirement and lifestyle villages, hospital rehabilitation or outpatient programs, among others.
  • Map relevant government tenders and programs at the federal, state, and local levels to ensure the company is well-positioned to participate.
  • Present solid business cases for potential expansion in adjacent markets, such as New Zealand and Canada.
  • Work with the GM and Executive team to develop a new market playbook, identifying the access points and channels needed for success.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to align business development efforts with broader operational strategies for sustainable growth.

About You

We're looking for a strategic thinker with a proven track record of building and nurturing key relationships. You'll thrive in uncharted territory, combining creativity and precision to uncover new opportunities. As a natural leader, you bring energy and drive to everything you do. You'll be tenacious and resilient, with the determination to overcome challenges while staying focused on long-term growth and success.

  • A strong background in sales, market diversification, and business development with experience in the healthcare or aged care sectors being desirable.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough market research and uncover growth opportunities across regions and industries.
  • Demonstrated success in crafting comprehensive business plans that capture opportunities in emerging and breakthrough markets.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • A strong track record of achieving and surpassing sales and business development targets, with the ability to proactively monitor and track performance against goals.
  • Self-starter with a Hunter mentality, who thrives on identifying new opportunities and works collaboratively with operational leaders to drive success.
  • Experience engaging with government bodies and positioning the company as a preferred supplier within government programs will be highly regarded.
  • Salesforce experience is highly regarded.
