We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Manager to join our Legal team at Coles Group. As a key member of the ER Team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and advice on all aspects of employment law, including enterprise agreements, industrial relations, and compliance.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in employee relations/employment law, including experience in negotiating enterprise agreements, managing the bargaining cycle, and advocating for employees' rights. You will also have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external trade unions, and employer associations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic ER advice and support to Coles Group business units
  • Manage the bargaining cycle for multiple enterprise agreements, including strategy formation, planning, negotiation, implementation, and approval
  • Develop and implement ER strategies to drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement
  • Lead negotiations with external trade unions and employer associations
  • Monitor the external ER environment to identify key trends and issues impacting Coles

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong proven track record in employee relations/employment law, including a legal qualification and/or relevant work experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Experience in negotiating enterprise agreements and managing the bargaining cycle
  • A deep understanding of the ER factors impacting a retail and supply chain environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
