Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Logistics Coordinator, responsible for coordinating the operations of temperature-controlled shipping containers from departure through transit and on to arrival.

This position involves pre-planning delivery processes from collection through to final delivery, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in maritime logistics or FMCG environments, strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly computer literate using online logistical systems, and have a focus on accuracy and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate temperature-controlled shipping containers throughout the delivery process.
  • Develop effective delivery schedules and coordinate with receivers to meet required transit times.
  • Manage relationships with port authorities, customs officials, logistics partners, shipping agents, haulage contractors, and customers to ensure clear communication.
  • Track temperatures of reefer containers during transportation and collaborate with haulage contractors for proper handling.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including transport permits and billing information.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in maritime logistics, particularly in managing temperature-controlled cargo or in an FMCG environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Highly computer literate with proficiency in online logistical systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and focus on quality assurance.
