We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our midwifery team as we embark on a unique journey of growth and development.
About the RoleThis 12-month program is designed for those who wish to consolidate their learning while progressing in a structured and sustainable career pathway. As a student midwife, you will have the opportunity to gain comprehensive, hands-on experience across diverse maternity settings.
You will be part of a rotating roster, allowing you to develop your clinical skills within a supportive and collaborative team environment. Our experienced Clinical Educators will guide and mentor you throughout the program, ensuring that you receive the best possible training and support.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A minimum of one year acute clinical nursing experience following your graduate year within the acute clinical setting.
- Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency; OR New Zealand Citizenship.
In addition to this exciting role, you will also have access to:
- A 0.8 EFT paid employment position, providing a unique blend of clinical experience and academic learning.
- A supernumerary clinical placement, allowing you to focus on developing your skills in a supportive environment.
- An integrated role that provides a structured and sustainable career pathway.
Please note that once your application with us is successful, you will be required to apply separately to La Trobe University as part of the course admission process.
