Job Overview

We are seeking a Tax Expert Lead to collaborate with our tax team and manage tax responsibilities for the ANZ and APAC regions.

The successful candidate will work closely with Group Finance, external advisors, and tax authorities to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare income tax returns, associated schedules, and supporting calculations for Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific countries.
  • Craft tax provision figures for half-year and year-end group financial statements.
  • Prepare tax effect accounting entries monthly.
  • Manage other tax compliance obligations, including GST, FBT, PAYG Instalments, and PAYG withholding tax returns.
  • Support forecasting and planning processes for upcoming tax obligations.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CA/CPA.
  • Demonstrated expertise in direct and indirect tax regulation and mentorship, acquired at a Big 4 or prominent mid-tier accounting firm, or a multinational corporation in Australia.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach in navigating complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working effectively with global collaborators.
