Job SummaryThe Mental Health Clinician will provide focused psychological strategies tailored to meet the individual needs of young people and families accessing our service within a community-based mental health care setting.
As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to respond appropriately to mental health and developmental needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-standard assessments, psychological, counseling, and therapeutic interventions
- Opportunities to run group programs
- Liaise and work with internal and external stakeholders
- Must have one of the following: General AHPRA registration as a Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, or Mental Health Nurse, or AASW registration as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker
- Extensive and demonstrated experience providing clinical services to young people
- Well-developed judgment and evaluation skills demonstrating a working understanding of assessment and care planning
- Sound understanding of the public, non-government, and private mental health systems and programs and associated non-mental health programs in a community setting
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills showing an ability and sensitivity to work with people who have or are at risk of developing a mental illness
- Proven ability to work creatively, collaboratively, and effectively as a member of a team
- Demonstrated skills in organization and time-management, including the ability to work under pressure and balance multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
- Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
- Paying on HPSS Level 3 (above award payment for highly experienced clinicians) plus Super
