About the Role

As a Workplace Rehabilitation Consultant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services that promote optimal health and well-being for injured workers. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to determine the best strategies for facilitating return to work
  • Visiting workplaces to understand the challenges injured workers may face and educating employers on injury prevention
  • Providing clinical opinions and justifications through detailed report writing
  • Case managing complex injuries and coordinating with treating doctors and health professionals to support injured workers in their recovery and return to work

In addition to rehabilitation services, you will partner with various organizations to deliver a range of other services, including:

  • Conducting pre-employment assessments, including drug & alcohol testing, audiology, spirometry, vision, and functional testing
  • Developing job dictionaries
  • Performing manual task risk assessments
  • Leading interactive manual handling training and implementing stretching and warm-up programs
  • Conducting ergonomic assessments in workplace, home, and vehicle settings

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Current registration with AHPRA, ESSA accreditation, or ASORC/RCAA accreditation
