Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Academic Support Specialist to provide high-quality education services to students in their homes, libraries, or other suitable locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs, working closely with parents, schools, and relevant organizations.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Assist students with homework, assessment, and general skills development, as well as career guidance and redirection when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records on student progress and performance.
  • Work collaboratively with senior staff members to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching experience (1 year preferred).
  • A current Working with Children Check (preferred) and/or ability to obtain one.
  • A valid Driver's License (preferred) and willingness to travel to client locations.
  • Able to commit to a minimum of 5 hours per week if required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.

Salary Range:$27.28 - $46.98 per hour
