Unlocking Learning Opportunities in Youth Remand Education
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Teachers to join our team at a unique educational setting, where you will play a vital role in implementing an improvement agenda and delivering educational programs to young people on remand.
The role involves working collaboratively with the Head of Campus, staff across multiple campuses, and key stakeholders from interdepartmental agencies to drive student outcomes and achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized literacy and numeracy learning programs for students
- Utilize restorative practice principles to promote social development and prepare students for successful transition to school, employment or further training
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular progress reports to parents and guardians
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a relevant teaching qualification, current full registration as a teacher in Queensland, and working rights in Australia. Pre-service/graduate teachers must have been granted provisional registration prior to commencing employment as a teacher.
