
Midwifery Specialist

We are seeking a skilled midwifery care specialist to join our maternity team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, advocating for women and families from diverse backgrounds, and promoting best practice while escalating care when necessary.
Responsibilities:- Provide woman-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Advocate for the needs of women and families from all cultures and backgrounds.
- Escalate concerns and escalate care when necessary to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (Division 1).
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery.
- Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts across all days of the week.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Location: Nepean Hospital.
- Remuneration: $36.38 - $51.08 per hour.
- Hours per week: Up to 38.
- Employment Type: Permanent Full Time or Part Time.
