Midwifery Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled midwifery care specialist to join our maternity team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care, advocating for women and families from diverse backgrounds, and promoting best practice while escalating care when necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide woman-centred care in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Advocate for the needs of women and families from all cultures and backgrounds.
  • Escalate concerns and escalate care when necessary to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife (Division 1).
  • Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts across all days of the week.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
Employment Details:
  • Location: Nepean Hospital.
  • Remuneration: $36.38 - $51.08 per hour.
  • Hours per week: Up to 38.
  • Employment Type: Permanent Full Time or Part Time.
