We are seeking a skilled professional to join our maternity team. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary unit to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, advocating for women and families from diverse backgrounds, and promoting best practice while escalating care when necessary.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional, woman-centred care within the maternity unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, implement and evaluate care plans.
- Advocate for women and families of all cultures and backgrounds.
- Escalate concerns and escalate care when necessary to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- A current registration with the relevant authorities as a Registered Midwife (Division 1).
- Demonstrated recent experience and clinical skill in midwifery.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to provide woman-centred care that meets the highest standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
- Ability to work a flexible roster, including day, evening or night shifts across all days of the week as required by the unit/service.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment.
