**Job Title:** Consultant Psychiatrist

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to provide specialist psychiatric care to adults aged 18–65 experiencing acute mental health conditions in a 32-bed inpatient facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist psychiatric care to adults aged 18–65, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute mental health conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of the Mental Health Inpatient Unit.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct regular consultations with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
Requirements:
  • A degree-qualified medical practitioner with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Fellowship or equivalent experience in psychiatry, preferably with expertise in adult mental health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
