We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced culinary expert to lead our team in Port Douglas.

Job Description:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to inspire and motivate our culinary team. You will craft mouthwatering menus and introduce fresh and exciting dishes that reflect our commitment to quality and the rich tapestry of global cuisines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with our Head Chef to drive culinary innovation and excellence.

  • Maintain high standards of food safety and quality control throughout all kitchen operations.
  • Lead by example and motivate the team to achieve exceptional results through effective communication, coaching, and mentoring.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or senior line cook in a restaurant environment.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognised culinary institution preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and hands-on approach to management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Thorough knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety protocols.
  • Passion for food and a keen eye for detail, with a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
