Job Overview

In this highly esteemed role, you will serve as a leading expert in system engineering. Your primary objective will be to oversee the development of solutions that cater to the diverse needs of geospatial-intelligence systems, which are employed across various national and allied systems. As part of your duties, you will work closely with government entities to establish requirements for these systems, ensuring they meet stringent reliability and resiliency standards.

Responsibilities:
  • You will collaborate with government agencies to direct and implement solutions that meet their specific needs, incorporating multi-disciplinary approaches and adhering to strict timelines.
  • Upon analyzing user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems, you will plan and develop effective strategies to automate or enhance existing systems.
  • Your expertise will be sought by the government to advise on proposed changes to solution designs based on thorough analysis and consideration of new technologies.
  • Key responsibilities also include capturing and translating mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions, ensuring seamless integration across multiple Major Systems Acquisitions.
  • You will lead Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Course of Actions (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments, driving strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in relevant areas within the government or industry is essential, including DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture environments.
  • Prior experience with systems engineering lifecycle and strong understanding of its principles are crucial for success in this position.
Desired Qualifications:
  • A Master's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages would be beneficial.
  • Certification in Software Development Framework and INCOSE Expert Systems engineering Professional (ESEP) would be desirable.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer and membership or leadership participation in professional organizations such as INCOSE, IEEE, ACM, etc., would be valued.
