Electrical Systems Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and efficient electrical services, including repair, servicing, and maintenance of fixed plant electrical infrastructure.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian standards and regulations, as well as experience with shaft infrastructure, winder systems, and hoisting systems.
  • They will also possess valid certifications in working at heights, confined space, HV switching, and LV rescue/CPR, as well as a valid Australian Driver's Licence.

The role involves a FIFO schedule with opportunities available for 14/14 or 8/6 rotations, which may include night shifts. Approved departure locations for the point of hire are Darwin, Alice Springs, Perth, and Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical tasks to a high standard, ensuring compliance with Australian standards, mine regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain and repair fixed plant surface equipment, including crushers, conveyors, Koepe and double drum winders, paste and batching plants, primary ventilation systems, dewatering infrastructure, and shaft-related assets.
  • Adhere to work management processes, accurately confirming daily time against job numbers and documenting detailed work history to support maintenance planning and reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Air Conditioning and Refrigeration licence and NT Electrical Licence
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical maintenance and repair of industrial equipment
  • Valid certifications in working at heights, confined space, HV switching, and LV rescue/CPR
  • PLC knowledge and demonstrated experience
  • Familiarity with risk management, safety systems, and legislative requirements for hoisting systems
