Job Description

Overview:

The Registered Nurse - Coronary Care Unit role involves continuously monitoring and assessing patients' cardiovascular status, responding promptly to emergency situations such as arrhythmias or cardiac arrest, and possessing skills for advanced cardiac monitoring.

Educating patients and their families about heart disease management and prevention requires a deep understanding of the complex relationships between cardiovascular health, lifestyle choices, and individual circumstances.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to plan and implement individualized patient care plans demands strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Providing post-procedure care for patients recovering from cardiac interventions requires empathy, patience and attention to detail.


About You
  • A highly skilled Registered Nurse authorised to practise by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated ability to apply transfer of care and patient flow principles to improve patient outcomes.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and unsupervised during high-demand periods.
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Recent experience or interest in Coronary Care / Cardiology.

  • Provide evidence of immunisation as required for your role.
