About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Principal to join our New Glenn Business Unit as a key member of the finance leadership team. As a Finance Principal, you will be responsible for providing critical analysis and insight, driving performance improvement and predictability, and leading the financial leadership of customer programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Vice President of Customer Programs as a business partner and advisor to execute external contracts and support new business initiatives.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial information and recommendations to support business execution, including financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide relevant insights to Product Line leadership, including financial analysis and modeling.
  • Develop and deliver product line financial commitments, business plans, and investment returns.
  • Set-up the cost and reporting structure to support program execution while ensuring effective financial controls.
  • Partner with Accounting to evaluate and document revenue recognition requirements.
  • Analyze and minimize variances in the financial performance of programs.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the Blue Origin Finance community on the set-up and execution of external contracts and customers, including USG.
  • Support customer proposals and provide analysis/modeling of new business opportunities and related requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Finance Business Partner supporting external programs in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Understand financial documents and performance measurements.
  • Strategic and results-oriented collaborator with multiple stakeholders; able to lead large-scale projects and reprioritize as necessary.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills with expertise in Excel financial modeling.
  • Experience using ERP tools, financial and operational databases, and accounting software.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 12+ years of professional finance experience, including in R&D and manufacturing.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $151,109-$211,552 for on-site WA applicants and $143,086-$200,320 for on-site CO applicants. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.
