As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for caring and supporting individuals with disabilities in various settings.

Job Overview:
  • Providing care and support to clients with daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, eating, transport, and budgeting
  • Assisting clients during domestic activities such as eating meals and showering
  • Offering companionship and emotional support during daily activities

A day in the life as a Support Worker may involve:

  • Supporting clients with self-care tasks such as medication administration, personal grooming, and household chores
  • Assisting people with mobility issues or chronic conditions
  • Providing emotional support and companionship during daily activities

As a compassionate and empathetic individual with experience working with vulnerable populations, ideally within the disability or healthcare sectors, you'll have:

  • Experience working with clients with mental health conditions such as Schizophrenia, Self-Harm, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Verbal Aggression
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must have experience supporting high-needs clients

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or equivalent
