Agricultural Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Operations Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of our dairy cattle farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement milk production plans, including milking shed routines and herd management strategies.
- Coordinate reproductive programs, including artificial insemination and fertility management.
- Assist in breeding experiments to develop improved livestock strains.
- Plan and manage pastures and crops for livestock production.
- Analyze produce to set and maintain quality standards.
- Supervise animal health programs and handle sick or injured animals.
- Implement quality assurance procedures and operate milking plant and equipment safely.
- Conduct regular inspections to evaluate feed formula effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records for stock and inventory control.
Requirements:
- AQF Certificate III in Agriculture/Dairy Production (or equivalent).
- Three years of recent and relevant work experience.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate computer software packages.
