
Lead Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and mentor a payroll team across the APAC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with relevant legislation, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar payroll management role, with expertise in enterprise agreements, New Zealand payroll, and process improvement. They will possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a team of payroll officers
- Ensure payroll is processed in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with EA, Awards, and payroll tax
- Coordinate, direct, and control payroll preparation, processing, and distribution
- Reconcile payroll accounts and report as required
- Oversee and ensure compliance with statutory obligations
- Monthly/year-end reporting, including preparing and distributing reports and documentation
- Uphold high customer service standards and protocols across the business
- Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders
- Identify process improvements and implement changes
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar payroll management role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
