About the Role

Catholic Healthcare is seeking experienced and passionate Personal Care Assistants to join our dedicated team on a permanent full-time basis.

As part of our team, you will create a safe and home-like environment for our residents, providing personal care and support to assist with daily living and personal requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing a high standard of care that supports residents' independence and meets their daily living and personal requirements.
  • Assisting with personal hygiene, showering, dressing, and toileting, as well as providing mobility and social support.
  • Preparing resident dining rooms for meal service and cleaning away at the end of a meal service.
  • Assisting residents with leisure and lifestyle activities, and responding to resident call buttons for assistance.
  • Promptly reporting any changes in resident health status to the Registered Nurse on duty.
Requirements
  • Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Personal Care Assistant in a Residential Aged Care home.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents.
