Mid-Level Rigger Role

This position is ideal for experienced Rigging Artists who can work in one of our Australian studios. You will have the flexibility to choose between city or beachside locations.

Job Description
  • Create realistic rigs for creatures and photo-real objects using internal tools and techniques;
  • Briefly assist in the creation of new rigs and rig components as required;
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain an efficient and effective internal rigging framework;
  • Work with Lead TDs and Animators to develop and integrate tools into a robust pipeline;
  • Develop tools with Python and the Maya API to enable Animators to create realistic animation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least three years of experience as a CG Rigger;
  • Strong knowledge of rigging principles (Hierarchies, Connections, Constraints, Deformers...);
  • Good understanding of creature anatomy and attention to mechanical details;
  • Able to create small animations (range-of-motion, demos, etc) as required;
  • Familiarity with Python scripting for Maya, MEL, Maya API, and C++ is a plus;
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills in a task-driven environment.
Estimated Salary Range

$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
