Job Title: Data Operations Specialist

  Your role as a Data Operations Specialist works within a team to ensure the health of database environments. This involves driving a customer-centric approach and providing advisory services to internal stakeholders.

  • Contributing to the future direction of our database environments through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Designing and implementing automation, reporting, and governance best practices to optimise database services.
  • Ensuring operational processes are in place to maintain secure configuration, classification, and management of data assets.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Reporting on the status of configuration management systems.
  • Identifying problems and issues and recommending corrective actions to prevent service disruptions.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders to oversee data collection mechanisms and their integration into data architecture.
Requirements:
  • More than 3 years of experience in database administration.
  • Practical experience in database administration for large organisations across heterogeneous platforms.
  • Platform operations monitoring using SolarWinds and managing configuration and responding to system monitoring events.
  • Database management experience: Oracle and SQL Server.
