About Our Role

As a key position within the School of Education, this role oversees high-quality teaching and learning, scholarly activity, and professional development for courses delivered by the School.

  • Ensure consistency of learning and assessment materials across all subjects
  • Maintain quality teaching resources via the Learning Management System prior to each study period
  • Support academic staff performance and coordinate teaching quality initiatives
  • Conduct allocated teaching, assessment, and student consultations
  • Monitor course quality and implement continuous improvements through data-driven insights
  • Manage academic integrity, moderation, and professional development processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ensure alignment with academic policies and industry best practices
  • Support recruitment and allocation of academic staff to meet course delivery needs
  • Track student performance and provide support to students at risk
  • Oversee resource development and ensure currency and relevance of course content for all delivery modes
  • Maintain high-performing team culture aligned with EDU values through leadership and mentorship

Education, Experience, and Skills Required

  • Minimum AQF Level 9 (Level 10 preferred) qualification in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Professional experience in course coordination, academic management, and teaching and learning development
  • Experience in academic management within a higher education environment with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated experience managing a team and driving people and culture processes
  • Strong organisational and planning skills with ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects
  • Knowledge of contemporary developments in the discipline and field, informed by continuing scholarship and/or practice
  • Skills in contemporary teaching, learning, and assessment principles specific to the discipline and field
  • Experience in course review leading to improved course design and student outcomes
  • Understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education Standards Framework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems
