About this role:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to provide support to elderly clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and dignity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualised care using a consumer-directed approach
  • Assisting with activities of daily living according to client care plans, including personal care, domestic assistance, and social support
  • Maintaining client privacy, confidentiality, and dignity at all times
  • Responding to emergency situations using first aid skills
  • Maintaining accurate records of client care
  • Reporting any incidents or hazards

Requirements:

  • Cert IV/Diploma in Community Service or equivalent relevant qualification, or experience deemed equivalent by the employer
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks based on client needs
  • Competence in using care management systems
