Produce Department Supervisor Job Description

Job Summary:

The Produce Department Supervisor is a key role in our retail operation, responsible for managing the produce department and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

As a leader, you will be responsible for creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes, and more. You will work closely with the Fruit & Veg Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing a team of produce staff
  • Managing inventory and ordering stock
  • Creating and managing rotas
  • Controlling costs and improving efficiency

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Fresh food retail knowledge (desired but not essential)
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Ability to order and control costs
  • Accurate team rostering
  • Passion and enthusiasm, with a very hands-on approach
