Job Overview

This is a challenging opportunity to lead and manage the scheduling process for key projects.

Main Accountabilities

  • Review suppliers' schedules and provide feedback to the project team on findings.
  • Update and advise on interdependent project milestones, providing regular updates as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of supplier/contractor schedules and report observations and findings.
  • Analyze critical path delays in contractor delivery programs against agreed baseline programs.
  • Review and comment on suppliers'/contractors' monthly reports.
  • Provide inputs to program review reports and ensure EVM elements are accurately reflected.
  • Suggest corrective actions for negative floats, changes in logic, or resequencing of activities with associated reasons.
  • Verify program possession calendars align with TfNSW's revised global calendars, including possession calendars.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Performance & Strategy (CPS) to assign relevant P6 codes to activities/milestones.
  • Develop Level 2 schedules for Risk Analysis purposes under senior management direction.
  • Support the Director Project Controls in reporting space and drive automation processes for scheduled reporting.
  • Design related reports using Power BI.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in planning/scheduling.
  • Proven ability to drive programs proactively, working closely with engineers and supervisors for daily commodity tracking.
  • Strong P6 skills for running what-if scenario programs.
  • Experience with minor Extension of Time (EOT) notice submissions.
  • Previous experience in mining closure and growth studies, particularly in aluminum projects, will be highly regarded.
  • A background in study experience is beneficial.
