Project Support Specialist

The role of a Project Support Specialist is vital to the successful delivery of ICT projects.

Reporting to a Project Manager, this specialist will coordinate project activities and provide effective stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Project Managers in delivering ICT project outcomes through implementation with internal and external delivery providers.
  • Coordinate project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost management, task management, and status reporting.
  • Conduct procurement activities to support project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Support stakeholder engagement and communication, preparing project updates and responding to inquiries.
  • Assist in coordinating project meetings, workshops, and events.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues alongside the Project Manager.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records and files.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to team members.

Required Skills:

  • Project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking.
  • Experience with project management software, procedures, processes, tools, and techniques.
  • Prince2 Foundation Certification or equivalent.

Typical Requirements:

  • 3 years project-related experience and/or Project Officer role.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices, such as Prince2 and PMBOK.
