Research Innovation Lead

The Research Innovation Lead plays a pivotal role in driving high-impact research initiatives, mentoring emerging talent, and producing influential research outputs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning and execution of strategic research programs to drive innovation and excellence in design research
  • Deliver top-tier research outputs, including reports, white papers, presentations, and polished collateral
  • Facilitate workshops with internal teams and external partners to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • Provide oversight and support to project researchers and research staff, ensuring adherence to client-specific research policies and procedures
  • Advise on research methodology, ethics, and data analysis to ensure high standards of integrity and responsible data management
  • Synthesize primary and secondary data to inform design outcomes and drive decision-making
  • Foster and maintain partnerships with industry, government, and community organisations to enhance research opportunities and collaborations
  • Develop research proposals and grant applications to secure funding for research initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (Built Environment or Social Sciences preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in design research within architecture or related fields, with proven ability to generate research collateral for clients and stakeholders
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), with proficiency in statistical tools (Excel, R, SPSS)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present findings via workshops, webinars, and internal engagements
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capability, with ability to manage multiple projects with precision and analytical thinking
