We are seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dedicated quality assurance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking investigations and providing advice, mentoring, and written and verbal support to Centre Directors and Operations Teams.
You will play a critical role in assisting with policy development and reviews, regulatory responses, reporting, data analysis, and initiatives and projects with a focus on quality improvement across all aspects of operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Livestrong by upholding the organization's commitments in daily work;
- Uphold and provide overviews and advice regarding Safeguarding Children projects and work;
- Conduct thorough investigations using detailed analysis and reporting frameworks;
- Oversee accurate Working With Children Checks records nationally, managing compliance requirements;
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Quality Assurance Leader and Head of Operations;
- Collaborate with Centre Directors and Operations Teams to implement improvement strategies;
- Navigate through daily tasks with exceptional knowledge of National Law and National Regulations and the NQF;
- Stay current with early childhood education regulations and communicate information, documents, and learning opportunities for Centre Directors and Team Members;
- Assist Centres in preparing for regulatory assessments and external audits, developing compliance tools and resources to support operational excellence;
- Provide guidance and advice to Centre Directors as required;
- Work with the Operations Team, supporting the development, review, and maintenance of Quality Improvement Plans;
- Maintain systems, data, and compliance records to ensure consistent quality standards are met; and
- Regularly analyze data, identifying trends and patterns.
You may be required to travel interstate to visit various centres throughout Australia.
Requirements:- At least 5-8 years of experience in a similar role;
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education;
- A current state-relevant Working with Children's Check and Police Check;
- Current Child Protection Training (or willingness to obtain upon commencement);
- A detailed understanding of Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations;
- Sound experience with implementation of the National Quality Standards;
- Proven experience in compliance management, auditing, or quality assurance;
- Knowledge of State-specific Child Safe Standards and Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting legislation (or willingness to obtain);
- Knowledge of risk management principles, policy development and reviews, incident assessments, and management;
- Regulatory Authority experience and a proven track record in managing and conducting formal investigations;
- Experience in Assessment and Rating processes and exhibited skills in preparing and maintaining Quality Improvement Plans;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills engagement;
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills;
- Sound written and verbal communication skills;
- A professional approach and ability to deal with people at all levels;
- The ability to work with compassion and empathy as well as resilience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and PowerPoint;
- A positive outlook and ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment;
- Project management skills and experience in policy development;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a solution-based focus; and
- Training and facilitation experience.
