Job Title: Cement Carrier Operations Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Cement Carrier Operations Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about the maritime industry and has a strong background in operations management.

**Job Description:**
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of our cement carrier, Goliath. This includes managing the Fuel and Lube Oil Purification system, boiler maintenance and feed water control, compressed air machinery and domestic services. In addition, they will be responsible for:
  • Safe operation of the main engine in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
  • Safe operation of the boiler in accordance with Class and Standing Orders;
  • Performing day work in conjunction with a rotating 24 hour system of Gear Turn including fuel and lube oil purifiers, air compressors, boiler and boiler feed water control and heat exchanges as directed.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • A minimum of 12 months relevant experience in a related role including at least 36 weeks of sea service on vessels with propulsion power ≥750 kilowatts;
  • A Certificate of Safety Training (STCW) or willingness to obtain one;
  • Work Safely at Heights Certification or willingness to obtain one;
  • Enter and Work in Confined Space Certification or willingness to obtain one;
  • A Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC);
  • Australian Citizenship or unlimited Australian Working Rights;
  • Living in Australia.
