Career Guidance Specialist

As a Career Guidance Specialist, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disability, injury or health conditions to achieve their career aspirations. Your expertise will enable them to navigate the job-readiness journey with confidence and precision.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for guiding clients through the process of identifying their strengths, skills and interests, and developing a tailored employment plan that suits their needs. You will also facilitate connections with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience and group-based activities to enhance their employability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client goals, strengths and support requirements.
  • Develop and implement customized employment plans to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Collaborate with employers and community services to create pathways to employment and training.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to maintain motivation and progress.
  • Meet or exceed performance benchmarks and contribute to the achievement of organizational outcomes.
Your Qualifications and Skills:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services (e.g., Mental Health, Psychology, Social Work).
  • Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury or health conditions.
  • Proven ability to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and develop client-focused employment plans.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies and labour market trends.
  • A current Driver's License.
