Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver specialist care to patients with complex cognitive and behavioral challenges, conducting neuropsychological assessments and preparing clinical reports.

About the Role

The Clinical Neuropsychologist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide evidence-based treatment recommendations and formulate comprehensive management plans to support recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough neuropsychological assessments and prepare detailed clinical reports for patients with complex cognitive and behavioral challenges.
  • Manage cases effectively, offering tailored interventions and treatment recommendations to support patient recovery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement comprehensive management plans that cater to individual patient needs.
  • Apply knowledge of neuropsychological syndromes in drug and alcohol settings and related comorbidities where relevant.
Requirements
  • A Master or Doctor of Clinical Neuropsychology or Clinical Psychology degree from an accredited institution is essential.
  • AHPRA registration with endorsement to practice as a Clinical Neuropsychologist or Clinical Psychologist is required.
  • Proven experience in neuropsychological assessments, treatment planning, report writing, and providing clinical feedback.
  • Familiarity with working within multidisciplinary teams and managing cases for clients with complex issues.
  • Knowledge or experience in neuropsychological assessment/diagnosis in a drug and alcohol setting with complex comorbidities.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patients presenting with neurological disorders, drug and alcohol-related issues, psychiatric conditions, and other medical conditions.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, particularly for Aboriginal patients, families, and communities, and improving health outcomes for socially disadvantaged groups.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to use it for work purposes.
