Job Title: Social Event Coordinator
The Events Director role is responsible for creating and implementing an annual social calendar that provides a range of engagement opportunities for members, players, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate all Club events excluding sponsor networking sessions.
- Collaborate with the Player Events Sub-Committee to organize player-focused events.
- Work with other Directors and the Player Events Sub-Committee to develop a calendar of social events and activities.
- Develop event themes aligned with Club priorities, coordinate speakers, manage bookings, and liaise with service providers.
- Create event timelines, content, and oversee bookings.
- In consultation with the Communications Director, arrange promotional materials for events.
- Manage match day event requirements, including bar operations, raffle management, audio equipment setup, and facility bookings.
- Ensure all social events are financially sustainable.
- Achieve the Club's event profit target.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Director to recruit and manage event volunteers, including developing position descriptions for roles.
- Coordinate the annual Silent Auction.
- Prepare running sheets and speaking points as needed.
Necessary skills and qualifications:
- Experience in event management and implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Capacity to coordinate with various stakeholders, including volunteers, players, guest speakers, and service providers.
