This role is responsible for establishing and implementing an annual social calendar that provides various engagement opportunities for members, players, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate all events excluding sponsor networking.
- Collaborate with the Player Events Sub-Committee to organize player-focused events.
- Develop a calendar of social events and activities in consultation with other Directors and the Player Events Sub-Committee.
- Design event themes aligned with Club priorities, brief speakers, manage bookings, and liaise with service providers.
- Create event timelines, content, and oversee bookings.
- Work with the Communications Director to arrange promotional materials for events.
- Manage match day event needs including bar, raffle, audio equipment.
- Arrange Council facility bookings for Club and player events.
- Ensure all social events are cost-neutral to the Club.
- Maintain the Club's event profit target.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Director to recruit and manage event volunteers.
- Organize the annual Silent Auction.
- Proven experience in event management and implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Capacity to liaise with event participants – volunteers, players, guest speakers, and service providers.
- Working with Children / Vulnerable People Check.
- Driver's License.
