Social Event Coordinator

The Board Director plays a pivotal role in establishing and implementing an annual social calendar that caters to the diverse needs of Club members, players, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all Club events (excluding sponsor networking) to foster engagement and camaraderie among attendees.
- Collaborate with the Player Events Sub-Committee to develop player-focused events that align with Club priorities.
- Work closely with other Directors and the Player Events Sub-Committee to create a comprehensive calendar of social events and activities.
- Develop event themes that resonate with Club values, coordinate speaker arrangements, monitor bookings, and liaise with service providers.
- Create detailed event timelines, content, and manage bookings to ensure seamless execution.
- In consultation with the Communications Director, arrange promotional materials for events to maximize visibility.
- Oversee match day event requirements, including bar operations, raffle management, audio equipment setup, and volunteer coordination.
- Manage facility bookings for Club and player events to optimize utilization.
- E nsure all social events are cost-effective and meet or exceed profit targets.
- Work collaboratively with the Volunteer Director to recruit and manage event volunteers, including developing position descriptions for roles.
- Coordinate the annual Silent Auction, a highlight of the Club's social calendar.
- Prepare running sheets, speaking points, and other essential materials as required.

Necessary Experience and Skills:
- Proven track record in event management and implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships.
- Attention to detail to ensure seamless event execution.
- Able to effectively liaise with various stakeholders, including volunteers, players, guest speakers, and service providers.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and time management skills to coordinate multiple events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and prioritize tasks effectively.
