About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to take on the challenging role of Parts and Accessories Distribution Lead. In this position, you will be responsible for optimizing parts inventories in our regional PDC located in Melbourne, as well as those of retail and service partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and Management of Regional Parts Distribution Centre: Establish efficient systems and processes to manage and monitor the distribution centre, ensuring seamless delivery of parts to customers.
  • Retail Partner On-Line Parts Issue Support: Provide timely support to retail partners on-line, addressing any queries or concerns related to parts issues.
  • Safeguard Regional Parts Availability: Develop and implement strategies to ensure consistent availability of parts across the region, minimizing stockouts and overstocking.
  • Training and Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and develop training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of team members, driving process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identification of Wider Product Issues and Contingency Planning: Proactively identify potential product-related issues and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on business operations.
  • Parts and Accessory Pricing: Conduct regular benchmarking against OEM and aftermarket offerings to ensure competitive pricing and maximize revenue growth.
  • Logistics KPIs Monitoring: Collaborate with logistics vendors to establish and monitor key performance indicators, driving continuous improvement and excellence in supply chain management.
Requirements
  • Aftersales and Operational Automotive Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in aftersales and operational automotive roles, preferably within vehicle manufacturers or wider motor trade.
  • Technical Qualifications or Equivalent Experience: Recognizable technical qualification or equivalent experience in automotive parts supply chain management or retail parts operation.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Possess strong analytical skills, with ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement, with a willingness to adopt new ideas and approaches to drive business growth and success.
